  1. Declaration of Independence (1776) 


Thomas Jefferson drafted the statement , submitted drafts to Adams and Franklin who made some changes, and then presented the draft to the Congress. In the afternoon of July 4th, the Declaration was adopted.
The Declaration of Independence is the statement which announced that the thirteen American colonies,  then at war with the Kingdom of Great Britain, regarded themselves as thirteen newly independent sovereign states, and no longer under British rule


The Constitution's first three words—We the People—affirm that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens.
The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. The Constitution, originally comprising seven articles, delineates the national frame of government. Its first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. 




The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution. The author was James Madison. The representative f the Congress.



The District of Columbia Compensated Emancipation Act, or simply Compensated Emancipation Act, was a law that ended slavery in Washington, D.C. by paying slave owners for releasing their slaves. Although not written by him, the act was signed by U.S. President Abraham Lincoln on April 16, 1862. April 16 is now celebrated in the city as Emancipation Day.



The Thirteenth Amendment (Amendment XIII) to the United States Constitution abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime.

The Miranda warning is part of a preventive criminal procedure rule that law enforcement are required to administer to protect an individual who is in custody and subject to direct questioning or its functional equivalent from a violation of his or her Fifth Amendment right against compelled self-incrimination.
